The House of Love is an alternative rock band hailing from London, England. Formed back in 1986, it is the brainchild of frontman Guy Chadwick and guitarist Terry Bickers, who performed alongside drummer Pete Evans and bassist Chris Groothuizen. They rose to prominence in the late 80s and early 90s as one of the UK’s leading indie bands, releasing four critically acclaimed albums before splitting in 1993.
10 years later, Chadwick and Bickers reformed the band with Evans and new bassist Matt Jury, and began touring alongside brand new comeback album Days Run Away’ in 2005. After a quieter couple of years, they’re ready to return again, and will put out new album She Paints Words in Red’ in spring 2013. Catch them touring the album across the UK this April.
