The Jesus and Mary Chain are a Scottish alternative rock band from East Kilbride, consisting of sibling pair Jim and William Reid, who share songwriting duties and both sing and play guitar. It also currently consists of guitarist Mark Crozer, bassist Scott Von Ryper, and drummer Brian Young.
Formed in 1983, the band released their debut album, ‘Psychocandy’ in 1985, followed by ‘Darklands’ in 1987, ‘Automatic’ in 1989, ‘Honey's Dead’ in 1992, ‘Stoned & Dethroned’ in 1994 and ‘Munki’ in 1998, before the band disbanded. The band reunited in 2007, headlining their own shows and tours across the UK, including playing 'Psychocandy' across the UK in late 2014 and early 2015.
The band released their latest album, ‘Damage and Joy’, in March 2017 via ADA and Warner Music. They supported the record with European, North America and UK and Ireland shows, and, in summer 2018, played a co-headline slot with Echo and the Bunnymen as part of the inaugural Skyline Series.
Next up, The Jesus and Mary Chain head to Australia and New Zealand for shows in March 2019. Catch them live by checking out the tour dates and concert ticket information below on Stereoboard.

Only a tone-deaf, mainstream-loving sheep could fail to be excited about a new album from the legendary Jesus and Mary Chain. Arriving almost 20 years since the band’s sixth studio LP, ‘Munki’, and a decade since the Reid brothers put aside their rivalry to initially reform, ‘Damage and Joy’ is a welcome return even if it does largely resemble an echo from the past.
