The Murlocs are a band from Melbourne, Australia, comprised of Cal Shortal, Ambrose Kenny Smith, Matt Blach, Cook Craig and Tim Karmouche, whose roots are firmly placed in a blown-out, distorted brand of soulful RnB. Kenny Smith and Craig are already firm members in psych rock band King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, too.
Formed in 2011, the band released their debut, 'Loopholes', in 2014, followed up by 'Young Blindness' in 2016 and their latest, 'Old Locomotive' in 2017.
They've already played alongside Thee Oh Sees, Graveyard Train and Dave Graney, supported Mac Demarco, Stephen Malkmus and The Jicks, Wavves, Ty Segall and the Pixies as well as hitting up festivals such as Brisbane's Gizzfest, Meredith, Queenscliffe, Boogie and Falls Festivals. with their up-tempo snare cracks, noisy doom guitar and vocal screech mesmerising fans.
The Murlocs hit the UK for a tour in February. Catch them live by checking out the tour dates and concert ticket information below on Stereoboard.
