Beach House is an American dream pop/indie rock outfit hailing from Baltimore, Maryland. Formed in 2004, the band consists of Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally.
Putting out their self-titled debut in 2006, Beach House would find fans and acclaim across the board, and eventually leading to a deal with Sub Pop, who have put out their two most recent records 'Depression Cherry' and 'Thank Your Lucky Stars', their latest, which arrived in 2015.
In 2017 the band put out an album of B-Sides and rarities, and following this a handful of new singles for 2018 preceding a new album, which is set for release in spring this year.

Beach House don't make bad albums, which is perhaps unsurprising given the nature of their sound. The most striking thing about all of their records is how similar they've sounded, repeatedly making use of the same successful formula to the point where the Baltimore duo have become the reference point for an entire genre. If you're making dream pop in the 21st century and you've not listened to Beach House, are you really doing it right?
