Brandon Flowers: 'Solo Material Was Meant For The Killers'

Singer Brandon Flowers has revealed his forthcoming new material was originally planned for the Killers.
The 28-year-old Brandon Flowers, frontman for Las Vegas band The Killers, has had a busy last few months putting together his brand new solo album. Other members of The Killers decided to take a break from the band following six busy years on the road, however, opting to try his hand at working outside of the group dynamic, Flowers’ new solo material has been highly anticipated by fans.
Speaking to NME magazine he revealed how he would have rather recorded a new Killers album, also letting slip that his new material was originally penned for The Killers and not for a solo venture.
“To be honest, I personally would prefer it if this was a Killers record. Some of the songs were originally destined to be Killers songs, but it is what it is. I’m overflowing with songs right now. It’s something that has happened very quickly and very recently. That, combined with the other guys in the band wanting to take a long break, is what convinced me to do this album.”
Brandon Flowers’ debut solo album ‘Flamingo’ is set to hit the UK shelves on September 6th.
