Formed in 1993 and consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Jim Adkins, guitarist and backing vocalist Tom Linton, bassist Rick Burch and drummer Zach Lind, alternative-rockers Jimmy Eat World initially experienced a slow rise to success.
