Taylor Swift Reveals Details Of New Single & Forthcoming Album

Taylor Swift has revealed details about her latest bid to solidify her position as one of the most important artists to emerge on the American popular music scene this decade.

Since her self-titled release back in 2006 certified platinum, Taylor has gone on to break an array of records worldwide with subsequent releases. Following its release, her last record 'Fearless' reached double platinum status and was the year's biggest US debut for any female artist. With her already much-talked about new single 'Mine' due for release on October 11th, 'Speak Now' looks set to extend her successful reign of the charts once its released on October 25th.

'Mine' has already taken the Number One spot on the stateside Hot Digital Songs Chart, just four days after its release. This now sees Taylor Swift join Mariah Carey as the only female artists in the history of America's Billboard Hot 100 Chart to debut more than one single in the Top Five in a calendar year.

Currently nominated for a 2010 MTV Video Music Award for Best Female Video and with the upcoming release of her album, will Taylor Swift create the same big impression this side of the Atlantic?
