Shakira And Dizzee Rascal To Perform Together At MTV EMAs

Shakira and Dizzee Rascal are set to perform together at the MTV Europe Music Awards this weekend, it has been confirmed. The pair will join high calibre acts such as Kings of Leon, Katy Perry, Hayley Williams and Miley Cyrus, who are also performing at the event
The pair will perform a special rendition of their duet 'Loca' at the ceremony in Madrid on November 7th. The song was the first single from Shakira’s seventh studio album, ‘Sale el Sol’, which was released last month.
The EMAs are always a major event in the musical calendar: past highlights have ranged from a Jay-z and U2 collaboration last year to a controversial performance by a blurry-eyed Amy Winehouse in 2007. The awards will be hosted this year by Eva Longoria.
Lady Gaga and Katy Perry both have four nominations, and are set to compete for ‘Best Pop Act’, ‘Best Female’ and ‘Best Song’.
Shakira is due to begin a large European tour in November in support of her latest album. On top of dozens of dates in central Europe, Shakira will play the following UK and Ireland tour dates:
December 14 - Manchester, UK - MEN Arena (On sale July 9)
December 16 - Dublin, Ireland - O2 Arena (On sale July 7)
December 17 - Belfast, UK - Odyssey Arena (On sale July 7)
December 19 - Glasgow, UK - SECC (On sale July 9)
December 20 - London, UK - O2 Arena
