The Lionheart Brothers Reveal Video to New Song ‘The Desert’

Saturday, 08 January 2011 Written by Rob Sleigh

Norwegian psychedelic rock group the Lionheart Brothers have released the video for their new song ‘The Desert’. The track is the first to be taken from their forthcoming album, which is the follow-up to their 2008 UK debut ‘Dizzy Kiss’. The band are currently in the studio working on the new album.

The Lionheart Brothers were formed in Klæbu, Norway in 1998 by founding members Marcus Forsgren and Fred Gerhard Strand. The band took their name from the Swedish children’s fantasy novel ‘The Brothers Lionheart’ by Astrid Lindgren, which was made into a film in 1977. Their debut album ‘White Angel Black Apple’ was originally released in 2005, although it never received an official release in the UK.

The Oslo-based five-piece are made up of Marcus Forsgren (guitars/vocals), Frantz Andreassen (bass), Audun Storset (keyboards), Fred Gerhard Strand (drums) and Morten Øby (guitars/vocals). They released ‘Dizzy Kiss’ in their home country in 2007 and it came out in the UK the following year to praising reviews. They are currently recording their latest offering ‘Matters of Love and Nature’, which is due out later this year. ‘The Desert’ is the first song to be taken from the new album.
