British boyband JLS are set to appear in a 3D movie, it has been reported. The X Factor finalists are said to be keen to take the step onto the big screen in the near future.
In an interview with The Sun, a source close to the band said: "The boys are keen to do a movie, it's the next logical step. JLS have a huge fanbase who are bound to lap this up and see the film over and over again in the cinema, as well as buying it when it comes out on DVD. The lads can't wait to start shooting."
The film will be the latest in a string of sponsorship deals and side-projects that the band have embarked on since their chart debut in 2009, however some have been more well-received than others: the group launched their own range of condoms last year and became the butt of jokes from many individuals, including the members of rival boyband Westlife.
Meanwhile, the band (who are currently on their UK Arena tour), have recently unveiled the video for their new single, ‘Eyes Wide Shut’. The song features a collaboration with British rapper Tinie Tempah, set against an elaborate CGI backdrop. You can view the video for ‘Eyes Wide Shut (featuring Tinie Tempah) below:
