Californian rock supergroup Red Hot Chili Peppers have unveiled their highly-anticipated first single from their forthcoming new album.
‘The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie’ will go on sale for the first time later today through online sales and downloads, but has already been uploaded onto YouTube after it was leaked on the net. You can listen to the track embedded below. Check out Stereoboard’s review of the new single, which will appear on the site in the next few days.
The song will feature as the first single to be taken from the Chili’s tenth studio album, ‘I’m With You’, which is set for an August 29th release over here in the UK. It is the band’s first LP effort since their long-time guitarist John Frusciante, with new axe-man Josh Klinghoffer drafted in as his full-time replacement.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been on hiatus since 2008 with only a few shows and one-off releases since, but now they are ready to return to the forefront of the rock scene with the new album and a huge tour looks likely to follow. Nothing official has been said of a tour yet, but Stereoboard will update you as soon as news arises. The tracklist for ‘I’m With You’ can be seen below.
