Due to demand for tickets Shed Seven have announced a second homecoming show to their 'Maximum High' Winter tour confirming another show at York's Barbican Centre on 21st December.
Shed Seven embark on their 'Maximum Hits and Maximum Highs' tour later this year to coincide with the release of a new version of 'Chasing Rainbows' which they recorded as part of a
recent anniversary acoustic session. The track is available below for
free and marks 15 years since the single’s release.
Also, to celebrate the release and due to popular demand, a second
hometown show at York Barbican has been added for Wednesday 21st
December. This will be the last date added to the tour. Speaking about the tour, lead singer Rick Witter said. “It’s fantastic to be getting back on the road again. I can’t believe 15 years have passed since 'A Maximum High' and it will be good to revisit one or two songs that have been untouched for many years. We’ve got a few tricks up our sleeve for this tour, we want to be doing something a bit different each time we go out. We’ll also be playing the hits you’d expect to hear, it wouldn’t be a Shed gig without 'Chasing Rainbows' would it?!”
'A Maximum High' spawned 4 of the record 5 top 40 singles the band notched up in 1996, which included 'Going for Gold' and 'Getting Better', and saw the band break into the Britpop big league. The album went top 10 in the UK and the band toured it around the world.
