Megadeth's Dave Mustaine Claims He Caused Cancer Patient To Live Longer

Megadeth’s iconic frontman Dave Mustaine has claimed that he touched and prayed for a hospital patient stricken with throat cancer – allowing him to live for much longer than doctors predicted.

Talking with Spin, Mustaine explained that his most prized possession was a certificate that said Dave was a ‘Kentucky Colonel’, which was given to him by the cancer-sufferer – months after he was supposed to have passed away. Dave told how he brought the fan out of his hospital bed and onto the tour bus with the band – where he presented Dave with the prestigious award, which is signed by the Kentucky governor.

“I met a fan in Kentucky who had throat cancer,” Mustaine explained. “He was only supposed to live a few weeks. For some reason, I reached out, grabbed his throat, and started praying for the dude. He lives long enough to give me [the certificate] on our next tour. It's signed by the governor and says I'm an honorary Kentucky Colonel. As far as I know, it's the real deal.”
