JLS still have a lot of friends and acquaintance from their time on the X-Factor – and they still wish each other well and look out for each other. So, after Olly Murs was snubbed by the BRIT Awards in their ‘Best British Male’ category, JLS’ Aston Merrygold took it upon himself to say that Murs deserved a nod for the award.
 Although Murs is still up one of the awards at tonight’s ceremony - Best Single for 'Heart Skips A Beat' – but was overlooked when the official panel were deciding who deserved a nomination for Best British Male – something which Merrygold isn’t too happy about.
“It doesn't make sense,” Merrygold complained to the Daily Star. “He's had two double platinum albums and number one [singles]. But he'll perform on the night, show what he can do and do himself justice.”
It’s not just Merrygold who thinks that Murs should have been given the nod – Murs himself too has previously said that while he was ‘honoured’ to be in contention for Best Single, “I would have liked to have been up for 'British Male'.”
