Bruce Springsteen Equals Elvis’ Record For US No.1 Albums

Rock legend Bruce Springsteen has equalled Elvis’ record for Number One albums in the US charts, reaching the top spot for the tenth time in his career. The Boss has toppled London-born songstress Adele from the top spot with his latest effort, ‘Wrecking Ball’.
The ‘Dancing In The Dark’ star has reached the top of the US chart with his 17th studio album, shifting more than 196,000 copies across the Atlantic in the first week of sales. He is now on par with Elvis, earning the third most Number One albums in US chart history.
However, Springsteen will have to keep up his creative output if he hopes to catch up with Jay-Z and The Beatles, who have topped the charts 12 and 19 times respectively.
The ‘Born To Run’ frontman scored a double victory this week, also earning the coveted peak position in the UK Albums Chart. Springsteen debuted at the top of the chart, holding off competition from Emeli Sandé and the Military Wives Choir, who released their debut album ‘In My Dreams’
