Blues Guitarist Simon McBride Announces Extensive UK Tour

Hailed as the next Irish blues guitar hero in the footsteps of Rory Gallagher and Gary Moore, former Young Guitarist of the Year Simon McBride will embark on an impressive 21-date tour of the UK, Belgium and Holland starting 14th March. McBride will also be releasing the track ‘One More Try’, taken from his album ‘Crossing The Line’, to coincide with the tour. The single will be available from iTunes and Amazon.

McBride turned professional at age 16 as a guitarist-for-hire and toured the world with acts as diverse as Vivian Campbell’s Sweet Savage and ex-Commitments star, Andrew Strong. Now he is playing the music he loves, a fusion of blues and rock.

His latest album 'Crossing The Line' is a fiery amalgam of guitar skills, songcraft and character-soaked vocals, spinning tales of girls, gambling and corporate avarice. Recorded in Northern Ireland and The USA, mixing of the album was placed in the experienced hands of New York-based Peter Denenberg, the veteran producer and engineer whose CV takes in everyone from Deep Purple to the Spin Doctors and Robert Cray. Industry critics reckon this is the album that truly delivers on McBride’s potential and kicks out a chair at the top table of the Blues-rock genre.
