HIM Reveal Details Of New Album 'Tears On Tape' Ahead Of Dingwalls Gig

Iconic Finnish rockers HIM have revealed some of the details behind their hugely-anticipated eighth studio album ‘Tears on Tape’.

Recorded in their native Finalnd alongside longtime producer Hiili Hiilesmaa, the new album is scheduled for release in UK & Ireland on April 29th via Cooking Vinyl’s rock imprint DoubleCross. It will see a release across the pond on the following day (April 30th), thanks to Razor & Tie.

Fresh from mastering the album in New York, frontman Ville Valo told fans: “Cooking Vinyl’s history speaks for itself and for some unfathomable reason they have clearly understood HIM’s rather perverse musical fetishes (which is as rare as hen’s teeth!). DoubleCross (of the inverted kind) here we come!”

HIM work like machines in the studio, which has helped (along with their friend Bam Margera) them build-up a global fanbase. But, they’re also a formidable live act, and the band is currently limbering up for dates in 2013, including a highly anticipated appearance at Download Festival. You can catch them performing new material (and some HIM classics) at an intimate gig in London’s Dingwalls this April. Tickets are on sale Monday - check the link below to find tickets!
