U2 Set To Release New Album in Autumn 2013

Tuesday, 04 June 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Irish rockers U2 will release a brand new album this autumn, according to reports circulating the web.

The band have apparently been working on what will be their 13th studio album since before their megabucks 360° world tour, which took place from 2009 to 2011, and Rolling Stone has reported that all four members of the band had been spotted in the Electric Lady Studios in New York over the weekend.

The band have previously stated that they were hoping to get a new album out by ‘September, October, or November’, and it looks as though the band may have now finished writing it - with Dangermouse now working on mixing the record down, having helped produce it since 2010. It currently remains untitled, but with the band working in the studio, we could be set for more announcements or updates in the coming weeks.

In more news that will excite U2 fans, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin was also recently spotted at the studio with the band - although it's unknown whether he was joining them as a special guest, or simply joining them to hang out.

So, it seems that you U2 fans will have a brand new album before you know it - any of you excited about it? Leave us a comment in the box below!
