Speedy Ortiz To Release 'Foiled Again' EP In June, Share New Track Death Note

Monday, 09 May 2016 Written by Laura Johnson

Speedy Ortiz will release a new EP this summer.

'Foiled Again' is set to arrive on June 3 through Carpark Records and features remixes of Puffer, taken from 2015's 'Foil Deer', by Open Mike Eagle and Lazerbeak, as well as new tracks Death Note and Emma O.

Discussing Death Note, which you can check out below, along with the EP's tracklist and artwok, frontwoman Sadie Dupuis said:

"Death Note is named after the anime, which is about an evil supernatural notebook that causes the death of anyone whose name is written inside of it. The song is about writing through your depression as a way to get better, and how in that way a death note can be kind of love letter to yourself."

  1. Death Note
  2. Puffer (feat. Lizzo) (Lazerbeak Remix)
  3. Emma O
  4. Puffer (Open Mike Eagle Remix)

Speedy Ortiz Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Mon May 16 2016 - ASBURY PARK New Jersey - Wonder Bar - NJ (USA)
Tue May 31 2016 - PORTLAND Oregon - Doug Fir Lounge (USA)
