M.I.A. Shares New Track Goals

Wednesday, 07 June 2017 Written by Laura Johnson

M.I.A. has shared a new track, Goals.

The song, which was produced by Branko, follows up P.O.W.A, which was released in February and marked her first new material since last year's 'AIM'.

The track arrives ahead of this year’s Meltdown Festival, which the rapper will curate. It runs from June 9 to 18 at the Southbank Centre in London and will feature performances by Soulwax, Giggs, Crystal Castles, Young Fathers, JD Samson and Mykki Blancom, among others. Head here to check out the full line up.

A note was attached to the Goals video, along with a line explaining that it features gifs by Jaime Martinez that will be exhibited at the festival.

"DEDICATED TO MY HARDCORE FANS THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNFALTERING DEDICATION AND SUPPORT. YOU HAVE GIVEN ME A SLIVER OF HOPE IN HUMANITY. STAY STRONG.
REALITY WINNERZ."

M.I.A. will also headline this year's Boomtown Fair alongside the Specials and Cypress Hill.
