The Twilight Sad Announce World Tour Dates, Share New Song I/m Not Here [missing face]

Tuesday, 10 July 2018 Written by Jon Stickler

The Twilight Sad have confirmed autumn tour dates in the UK, Europe and North America, as well as sharing a brand new song.

The shows will see the Glasgow band performing all over the United States and Canada before a return to this side of the pond that culminates with intimate London and Edinburgh dates in late November. The band's Andy MacFarlane said:

"I’m really excited to start playing again. I’ve got the drive and I want us to get back out there and do it from a new perspective. We all enjoy playing, we need to rehearse these songs with a new drummer… but it’s all such uncharted territory, l think that’s why it’s exciting to me. I can’t tell exactly what’s going to happen. I like that chaotic side of it."

The shows will follow on from the band's recent appearances at Barcelona and Porto's Primavera festivals as well as Robert Smith's Meltdown festival and the Cure's British Summer Time day in London. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on July 12.

In addition to the live news, off the back of announcing their recent signing to Rock Action Records, the band have shared I/m Not Here [missing face], their first new music since 2014's 'Nobody Wants to Be Here and Nobody Wants to Leave'.

The Twilight Sad Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Tue November 27 2018 LONDON Bush Hall
Thu November 29 2018 - EDINBURGH Liquid Rooms

I absent-mindedly scroll Twitter in a glass shelter as the December cold gets its claws in. Before skipping over a review of the latest Jungle Book remake I’m stopped mid-feed by an autoplay video. Julia Roberts dances in a subway carriage for the New York Times. She grins, the plastic chairs smile back with yellow and orange teeth. The sound is off—my headphones are still playing Hop Along’s Not Abel. The weird thing is, that song won’t yield the floor. Instead it steps in to lead.
