The Twilight Sad Announce World Tour Dates, Share New Song I/m Not Here [missing face]

Tuesday, 10 July 2018 Written by Jon Stickler

The Twilight Sad have confirmed autumn tour dates in the UK, Europe and North America, as well as sharing a brand new song.

The shows will see the Glasgow band performing all over the United States and Canada before a return to this side of the pond that culminates with intimate London and Edinburgh dates in late November. The band's Andy MacFarlane said:

"I’m really excited to start playing again. I’ve got the drive and I want us to get back out there and do it from a new perspective. We all enjoy playing, we need to rehearse these songs with a new drummer… but it’s all such uncharted territory, l think that’s why it’s exciting to me. I can’t tell exactly what’s going to happen. I like that chaotic side of it."

The shows will follow on from the band's recent appearances at Barcelona and Porto's Primavera festivals as well as Robert Smith's Meltdown festival and the Cure's British Summer Time day in London. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on July 12.

In addition to the live news, off the back of announcing their recent signing to Rock Action Records, the band have shared I/m Not Here [missing face], their first new music since 2014's 'Nobody Wants to Be Here and Nobody Wants to Leave'.

The Twilight Sad Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

When football fever gripped England in the summer of 2018, as Gareth Southgate’s side saw off Sweden to book a place in the World Cup semi-finals, the celebrations extended to the sweltering heat of London’s Hyde Park. A huge crowd had assembled to witness a similarly colossal line-up curated by the Cure at British Summer Time, swapping the pubs and bars of the capital for sweeping goth-pop following the final whistle.

Cate Le Bon - Reward (Album Review)
Tue 04 Jun 2019
Photo: Ivana Kličković Cate Le Bon has never been easy to pin down. Having toured and collaborated with a diverse selection of musicians ranging from St. Vincent to Deerhunter, the Welsh musician and producer could loosely be described as trading in sprawling alt-folk, but that would only tell half the story. On her newest record, ‘Reward’, Le Bon creates a unique world indebted to new wave and jazz as much as it is to contemporary pop and folk acts—all with her own idiosyncratic twist.

Following the amicable departure of founding drummer Josh Wells and vocalist Amber Webber, Stephen McBean and Jeremy Schmidt began working on new music that might have eventually fallen under a new name. But that wasn’t to be.
