Billie Eilish Announces Debut LP 'When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?', Posts New Single

Billie Eilish has announced her debut album.
The singer confirmed via social media that her first full-length will be called 'When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?' and is set to arrive on March 29. It was written, produced and recorded by Eilish with her brother Finneas in his bedroom in their childhood home at Highland Park, Los Angeles. The news follows a number of online teaser posts and her recently released ROMA-inspired single When I Was Older.
She has also shared a new single, Bury A Friend. The track is a stripped back, alt-pop number led by minimal beats, which allows full attention to be given to the dark lyrics sung in her signature lo-fi style. "Why aren't you scared of me? Why do you care for me? When we all fall asleep where do we go?" she sings. Eilish said:
“When we made ‘bury a friend,’ the whole album clicked in my head. I immediately knew what it was going to be about, what the visuals were going to be, and everything in terms of how I wanted it to be perceived. It inspired what the album is about. ‘bury a friend’ is literally from the perspective of the monster under my bed. If you put yourself in that mindset, what is this creature doing or feeling? I also confess that I’m this monster, because I’m my own worst enemy. I might be the monster under your bed too.”
