Sunn O))) Detail First Album In Four Years 'Life Metal' And Accompanying North American Tour

Sunn O))) will return with 'Life Metal', their first studio LP in four years, this April.
The follow up to 2015's 'Kannon' was recorded with Steve Albini at the producer's Electrical Audio studios in Chicago. In addition to the band's co-founders Stephen O'Malley and Greg Anderson, it features contributions from Hildur Guðnadóttir on vocals and electric cello, close friend Tim Midyett on aluminium neck bass and baritone guitar, and pipe organ by composer Anthony Pateras.
Head below to view the 'Life Metal' artwork and teaser video. Sun O))) will support the record with a European tour in March, followed by US dates in April, with a return to the UK and Europe slated for October. Dates for the latter are to be announced soon.
Additionally, the Seattle experimentalists have confirmed that a second LP, 'Pyroclasts', was also recorded with Albini and can be expected to land in the autumn.
