Alicia Keys Shares First Single In Over Three Years Raise A Man

Wednesday, 13 February 2019 Written by Jon Stickler

Alicia Keys has returned with a new single, Raise A Man.

Fresh from hosting the 61st Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, the singer uploaded the six-minute piano-backed song to her YouTube channel, marking her first new music since she released her sixth album, 'Here', in 2016.

Keys took to Instagram to officially announce the soulful track, an ode to the responsibility of raising a man. "Somebody made a man, so show me how to raise a man, You can't be a man if we don't raise a man," she sings towards the end.

Khalid - Free Spirit (Album Review)
Thu 11 Apr 2019
Khalid pens sophisticated, understated R&B melodies supported by a moodiness that listeners can readily relate to. On his first album, ‘American Teen’, we saluted a charming vocalist’s brittle vulnerability laid bare on record, and some honest words on anxiety and insecurity characterise its follow up, 'Free Spirit'. At 21 years old, he’s still figuring it all out.
