Queen's Roger Taylor has premiered a politically charged solo single, Gangsters Are Running This World.
The piano-driven track serves as Taylor's first new music in over five years and features lyrics addressing the current state of the world. "There’s blood in the streets, panic in the air, the markets are trading up, in madness and fear", Taylor sings in the opening lines.
This isn't the first time the drummer has put out a protest song. In 2011, he re-released a song about media tycoon Rupert Murdoch following the phone hacking scandal. Dear Mr Murdoch orginally came from his 1994 album, 'Happiness', which also featured the track Nazis 1994.
Queen, meanwhile, embark on the 25-date Rhapsody Tour across North America with Adam Lambert this summer. Tickets are on sale now.
