Having just announced a tour that nobody was expecting—a co-headline run of dates with Lil Wayne—the pop punks have shared Blame It On My youth, a track that looks back on their teenage years.
After decades of success, it’s no wonder Blink are ready to celebrate their youthful defiance. In their melodic pop-punk style, the lyrics tell the story: “I was bored to death, so I started a band". Mark Hoppus admits, "my attention span never stood a chance.”
The track’s accompanying video features the graffiti artist Risk spray painting lyrics in true adolescent rebellion style.
Blame It On My Youth is the first new material from Blink 182 since their 2016 album ‘California’, excluding their recent mash-up with new bestie Lil Wayne. The two acts will tour together across North America over the summer.
