Morrissey Continues To Tease 'California Son' Covers Album With His Version Of Lady Willpower

Morrissey has shared his take on Lady Willpower, a track written by Jerry Fuller, recorded by Gary Puckett & The Union Gap and originally released in 1968.
It will feature on the Smiths frontman's upcoming covers album, 'California Son', which will be released on May 24 via his own label Etienne, an imprint of BMG.
Head below to listen to Lady Willpower and here for the previously shared cut Wedding Bell Blues featuring Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong on backing vocals. Similar to the latter, Morrissey's take on the '60s track is not that far removed from the original, production quality aside.
Morrissey cancelled his Canadian tour last month due to a medical emergency, but has lined up a US tour later this year with Interpol.
