Ezra Furman Releases Two New Tracks From 'Twelve Nudes'

Ezra Furman has released two new singles ahead of the arrival of ‘Twelve Nudes'.
Due on August 30 via Bella Union, I Wanna Be Your Girlfriend and Evening Prayer are the latest cuts from the album, and follow on from lead single Calm Down in May.
The former, described by Furman as “a romantic song of transgender longing” that features “a little bit of desperation, religion and body-talk”, channels a 1950s vibe with twanging guitar tremolo, an old-school microphone and arpeggiated underlay. Director Alix Spence noted the video is about “externalising the internal.”
Evening Prayer, on the other hand, sits on the punkier end of the scale, and comes as a rallying cry against injustice. Listen below.
Furman has tour dates in Ireland this month, before touring the US, Europe and the UK later in the year.
