Babymetal and Killswitch Engage Among New Names Confirmed For Download Festival

Babymetal and Killswitch Engage are among the second wave of acts to be announced for next year's Download Festival.

The huge rock, metal and punk celebration will return to Donington Park in June with headliners Iron Maiden, KISS and System Of A Down.

Killswitch Engage vocalist Jesse Leach said:

"We are honoured and excited to play the mighty Download festival once again! We are ready to kick out our new songs and play the old anthems as well! Download crowds are always incredible and we are eager to bring the mother f*****g ruckus!"

What? Three days of the biggest and best in rock and metal from around the world, hosted at one of the most iconic sites in the genres' shared history.

Where? Donington Park, near Derby.

When? June 12 -14.

Who? The latest acts to be added to the bill are Airbourne, Babymetal, Baroness, Blackout Problems, Bleed From Within, Blues Pills, Bokassa, British Lion, Bush, Cellar Door Moon Crow, Chelsea Grin, Dead Label, Dead Posey, Dying Fetus, Electric Wizard, Killswitch Engage, Lit, Lotus Eater, Marianas Trench, Obituary, Periphery, P.O.D., Powerwolf, Pup, Puppy, Skillet, Stone Broken, Theory, the Last Internationale, the Pretty Reckless, the Wildhearts, Tiny Moving Parts, Uncured, Volbeat, Wargasm, Wayward Sons, and Wednesday 13.

They join the previously announced headliners Iron Maiden, KISS and System Of A Down, as well as Alestorm, Black Veil Brides, Daughtry, Deftones, Disturbed, Gojira, Korn, the Offspring and Of Mice & Men. More acts are still to be announced.
