Caribou Announces New Album 'Suddenly', Shares New Single You And I

Wednesday, 04 December 2019 Written by Laura Johnson

Caribou will return with a new album in 2020.

The Canadian producer, real name Dan Snaith, has confirmed the follow-up to 2014's 'Our Love' is called 'Suddenly' and will arrive on February 28. The new record will feature the previously shared single Home and new number You and I, a dynamic electro track that plays with time signatures and deals in eclectic, layered soundscapes.

Introducing the album on Facebook, Snaith said:

"I'm so happy to announce that the wait is finally over...My new album 'Suddenly' will be released on Feb 28th, 2020 caribou.lnk.to/Suddenly

"I've been working on this for a long time and I'm very proud of it. I cannot wait for you to hear it. Until then, a new single 'You and I' is out now.

"The album was mixed by David Wrench features Colin Fisher on guitar and tenor saxophone.

"Cover photo + art direction Jason Evans. Design Matthew Cooper."

Caribou will support the new record with tour dates in North America, Europe and the UK next year, with the latter leg including stops in Brighton, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, Bristol and London, where he'll perform at the O2 Academy Brixton. There's also a huge Dublin show scheduled for July 11. Tickets are on sale now.
