Sam Fender Reschedules Bristol And Birmingham Shows Due To Illness

Thursday, 05 December 2019 Written by Laura Johnson

Sam Fender has rescheduled the Bristol and Birmingham shows on his current UK tour.

The singer-songwriter was due to perform at O2 Academy Bristol on December 4 and O2 Academy Birmingham on December 5 but has moved the shows to January 31 and 30 respectively. Original tickets remain valid for the new dates or refunds are available from point of purchase.

The change was made due to Fender catching a bug and needing to recover from a respiratory tract infection. He broke the news via an Instagram story, which we have a screenshot of below.

The Newcastle native's tour will pick up again on December 7 with a hometown show at the city's O2 Academy, which he'll also play the next night. He'll then head to London, Cardiff, Bournemouth, Dublin, Belfast and Sheffield, before returning to the O2 Academy Newcastle to finish up the run with another two shows on December 21 and 22.

Fender also has a spring UK and European tour in the diary. He's hitting the road hard in support of his debut album 'Hypersonic Missiles', which came out in September.
