Levellers Line Up August Release For New Album 'Peace', Share Food Roof Family Single

Levellers have announced their new studio album, 'Peace'.

To mark the news, the folk-rock troupe have shared the angry lead single Food Roof Family, which tackles deceptive tactics used by the media to marginalise the vulnerable. Singer and guitarist Mark Chadwick said:

"Everybody needs those three things, it doesn’t matter where you’re from. It's something that we all crave. Why does anybody want more roof than anybody else, or more food than anybody else, or want to kill anybody else’s family. It doesn’t make any sense."

The 11-track record is scheduled to arrive on August 14 via On The Fiddle Recordings, almost eight years since the Brighton band's last album of original material, 2012's 'Static On The Airwaves'. They'll support the release with live dates during spring, summer and autumn.
