Slowthai Drops New Single ENEMY

Monday, 11 May 2020 Written by Sophie Williams

Slowthai has released a new single, ENEMY.

The explosive track is the Northampton rapper’s first offering since his controversial behaviour towards host Katherine Ryan at February’s NME Awards, following which he issued a lengthy apology and took some time away from the public eye.

Produced by Kwes Darko, ENEMY is punctuated with textured hip hop beats and viscous hooks that boost Slowthai's whiplash delivery. It arrives with an accompanying video, which sees the grime-punk artist play around with a night vision camera.

In January, Slowthai appeared alongside Slaves on Momentary Bliss, the first instalment of Gorillaz’s ongoing Sound Machine project. His debut full-length effort, ‘Nothing Great About Britain’, landed in 2019.
