Friday, 19 June 2020 Written by Huw Baines

Anderson .Paak has shared a new protest song.

The video for Lockdown, which was directed by Dave Meyers, features title cards referencing the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, along with cameos from Syd, Jay Rock, Andra Day, Dominic Fike, and more.  “They throw away black lives like paper towels,” .Paak raps. “Plus unemployment rate what? 40 million now?”

The clip arrives alongside donations to Action Bail Fund LA, Atlanta Solidarity Fund, and Albany Safety Fund for Black Lives, while the cast and crew forwarded their pay to Dream Defenders.
