Sophie Ellis-Bextor To Take Kitchen Disco Tour Across UK In May 2021

Sophie Ellis-Bextor has announced the Kitchen Disco Tour.
Following the success of her Instagram Live kitchen discos during the coronavirus lockdown, the singer has lined up shows in Glasgow, Birmingham, Southend-on-Sea, London, Bexhill-on-Sea, Guildford, Manchester and Leeds between May 7 and 19, 2021.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am on July 17. She said:
“During lockdown, our family kitchen discos became a precious time where we could all bop about and be a bit silly. It made me feel connected to everyone who joined us and I can honestly say the music was a real tonic which brought sparkly joy to my soul every Friday. The discos we shared have inspired me and now I want to see all your faces so I can sing for you. I want to give everyone a night where just for a little while, we can all lose ourselves under the mirror ball and dance and have fun. Won’t that feel magical?! I CANNOT WAIT!”
Prior to the tour, the vocalist will release a new record, 'Songs From The Kitchen Disco', on October 23. It will be a collection of the tunes that featured in her lockdown kitchen discos, including Murder On The Dancefloor and Take Me Home, as well as a new single, details of which will follow soon.
