Megadeth, Descendents, Northlane Among New Acts Announced For Download 2021

17 more acts have been confirmed for next year’s Download Festival.

The massive rock and metal festival will return to the hallowed ground of Donington Park between June 4 and 6 with Kiss, Biffy Clyro and System Of A Down set to top the bill after initially signing up for the cancelled 2020 event. 

Among the new additions to the line up are Megadeth (pictured), Descendents, Boston Manor, Northlane, and Venom Prison. Head below to check out the rest.

What? Three days of the biggest and best in rock and metal from around the world, hosted at one of the most iconic sites in the genres' shared history.

Where? Donington Park, near Derby.

When? June 4-6, 2021.

Who? 17 new acts have been added to the line up: Megadeth, Descendents, Boston Manor, Northlane, Venom Prison, Salem, the Skints, Static Dress, Monster Truck, Ayron Jones, Massive Wagons, Fire From The Gods, Dead Poet Society, the Scratch, Uncured, Renounced, and the Injester.

Alongside the headliners, the Main Stage will also host sets from A Day To Remember, Deftones, Korn, Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, the Pretty Reckless, Gojira, Black Veil Brides, Volbeat, Rise Against, Alestorm, Theory, Powerwolf, Wage War, Those Damn Crows and Wayward Sons.

On the second stage, meanwhile, you’ll find Killswitch Engage, the Distillers, Mastodon, the Darkness, Airbourne, Poppy, Myles Kennedy and Company, Daughtry, Skillet, Baroness, Lacuna Coil, Bush, the Wildhearts, Hatari, Stone Broken, Of Mice and Men, P.O.D, the Last Internationale and Control the Storm. 

Reunited post-hardcore heroes Funeral For A Friend will top the bill on the Avalanche Stage, alongside Creeper, the Faim, Sleep Token, Hot Milk, Tiny Moving Parts, Employed To Serve, Gender Roles, Holding Absence, Marianas Trench, Puppy, Loathe, Press Club, Wargasm, Jamie Lenman, the Hara, Blackout Problems, Cemetary Son and Dead Posey.

Over on the Dogtooth Stage, bang your head to headline sets from metal legends Sepultura and doom metal titans Electric Wizard. Alter Bridge’s Myles Kennedy will double up with an acoustic performance to close the tent on Sunday. Also appearing across the weekend are Obituary, Blues PIlls, Dying Fetus, Haken, Bleed From Within, Twin Temple, Bokassa, Will Haven, Spiritbox, Higher Power, Kill The Lights, Tempt, Joyous Wolf, Modern Error, Lotus Eater, AA Williams, Phoxjaw, Cellar Door Moon Crow, Dead Label, Anchor Lane, JJ Wilde and Temples On Mars.
