Temples Share Sean Ono Lennon-Produced New Single Paraphernalia

Wednesday, 02 September 2020 Written by Jon Stickler

Temples have shared a new song.

Paraphernalia was produced by Sean Ono Lennon and finds the four-piece delivering an enthralling swirl of psychedelia and surging disco-pop that grabs your attention from the get go.

Following their October 2019 set at the Desert Daze festival in Lake Perris, California, Temples caught up with ATO labelmates the Claypool Lennon Delirium and found themselves discussing music with the band's frontman Lennon. He said:

"I'd always been a fan of the band. Had seen them play some pretty great shows over the years. When I first heard the demo for Paraphernalia I knew they had a great tune."

The track was written by Temples vocalist and guitarist James Bagshaw while the band were in the studio recording their 2019 LP, 'Hot Motion'. Discussing it, he said:

"In an age of constant distraction, we all strive to find focus and a sense of calm. Paraphernalia questions the depth of 'real' connections in a digital world."
