Temples have returned with details of their fifth album and a new single.

The Kettering quartet will release the self-produced 'BLISS' through their new label home, V2 Records, on June 26, following up 2023's 'Exotico'. It marks a bold new chapter sonically, with James Bagshaw, Thomas Walmsley, Adam Smith and Rens Ottink reshaping their psych-rock style through late '90s and early 2000s dance influences, blending European electronica with their core rock sound.

Alongside the announcement, the band have shared the record's first single, Jet Stream Heart, a track about getting lost in music that showcases their more modern, dance-forward sound, with bright synths and prominent electronic elements. The band explained:

"Jet Stream Heart explores the feeling of being seduced by music, being pulled into a sonic jet stream and having to give in to the magnetic feeling of certain music. The feeling of music in a club is visceral - almost like you're directly wired into the song. This song blurs genres and the line between what’s a synth and what’s a guitar/bass, using home made fuzz pedals and odd studio gear to create anything but conservative sounds. We’re always striving to make a bold sonic statement."

Temples have yet to scheduled any tour dates in support of the album, through they already have three festival appearances in Spain confirmed for May. Head here for details.

Since their last album, Temples released their 'Other Structures' EP in 2024, featuring six previously unreleased and remixed tracks from their 2014 debut album, 'Sun Structures'.

'BLISS' tracklist:

1. Jet Stream Heart
2. Revelations
3. Megalith
4. Glimmer
5. Blue Flame
6. Vendetta
7. Jaguar
8. Horizon
9. Waiting On The Echoes
10. Fantasy Realm
