Norah Jones Announces Expanded Edition Of 'Pick Me Up Off The Floor', Posts Hurts To Be Alone Video

Friday, 25 September 2020 Written by Sophie Williams

Norah Jones has confirmed details of an expanded version of her latest LP, June's 'Pick Me Up Off The Floor'.

The 30-track collection will arrive on October 16 and will feature a series of covers that the American vocalist recorded in self isolation, including renditions of Kris Kristofferson's For The Good Times and Ravi Shankar's I Am Missing You, alongside a new original track, Light Wind Blowing. A full tracklist is yet to be revealed.

The news arrives with a self-directed video for her latest single, Hurts To Be Alone, a gentle piano number that unfurls into washes of pillowy melodies and smoky vocal tones. The clip finds the acclaimed singer-songwriter exploring a picturesque beach.

Jones was recently forced to pull her summer 2020 co-headline tour of North America with Mavis Staples due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. New dates are yet to be confirmed. Keep up to date in real time with new information via Stereoboard.
