Muncie Girls' Lande Hekt has released a new song.

Following Whiskey, 80 Days Of Rain is the second single off the vocalist's forthcoming debut solo LP, 'Going To Hell', due out on January 22 through Get Better Records. Speaking about the driving, mid-tempo guitar track, she said:

"[It's] about moving away and missing someone, and how that person taught me to get angry about climate change. 80 Days Of Rain is weirdly a reference to that TV programme Years and Years, where climate change was so out of control that the UK had 80 days of rain in a row. I realised that the effects of climate change will hurt animals and wildlife first and how sad that is."

Recorded before the COVID-19 lockdown in the Adelaide Hills with her friend Ben David of the Hard Arches, the record documents Hekt's experience coming out as gay. She plays all instruments on the album, except percussion.

Hekt released her 'Gigantic Disappointment' EP in 2019. Muncie Girls, meanwhile, will play a couple of rescheduled shows in February.

Muncie Girls Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Tue February 02 2021 - MANCHESTER Manchester Gullivers
Thu February 04 2021 - LONDON London Oslo
