Damage was produced by Cardiak for Heartfelt Productions and Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman for Gitty Music, Inc, while the lyrics were written by the American singer and songwriter with Anthony Clemons Jr. and Tiara Thomas.
The slick and soulful R&B track will feature on the forthcoming follow-up to 2019's 'I Used to Know Her', which will arrive through MBK Entertainment/RCA Records, though an official release date and title has not yet been confirmed. The single arrives ahead of H.E.R. appearing as the musical guest on this week's Saturday Night Live, which will be hosted by British superstar Adele on October 24. The latter said: "I am besides myself that H.E.R will be the musical guest!! I love her SO much I can’t wait to melt into a flaming hot mess when she performs…”
