The Flaming Lips have announced a second US bubble concert.
Due to the "World's First Space Bubble Concert" selling out in a matter of minutes, the band will now also perform at the Criterion in Oklahoma City on December 10, the day prior to the previously announced show. Tickets for the new date go on sale at 10am CST today (November 17).
The bubbles have previously been used as part of the group's live set-up, with Wayne Coyne and Co first appearing in them at 2004's Coachella festival. More recently, they used them for a performance for family and friends that they then turned into a live video for Assassins of Youth, a cut from this year's 'American Head' LP.
The Flaming Lips will return to the UK and Ireland in 2021 for shows that were rescheduled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
