Robbie Williams has recorded a coronavirus-themed festive song.
Can't Stop Christmas finds the former Take That member singing playful, tongue-in-cheek lyrics about Zoom chats, hand sanitiser and social distancing over a cheerful melody and seasonal sleigh bells. In a nod to the pandemic, he sings: "Santa’s on his sleigh, but now he's two metres away."
The collaboration with longtime producers Guy Chambers and Richard Flack appears on the deluxe edition of Williams' 2019 double album 'The Christmas Present', which features duets with Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams, Jamie Cullum and even World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
In the spring, the singer cancelled the summer dates of his residency at the Wynn Las Vegas due to COVID-19. In September, he appeared on the Struts single Strange Days.
