Friday, 20 November 2020 Written by Laura Johnson

The Smashing Pumpkins have shared two new songs.

Purple Blood and Dulcet in E serve as the latest preview of their new double album, 'Cyr', which is due out next week on November 27.

The former is an erratic offering that richochets between dark wave soundscapes and stripped back acoustic moments, while the latter is a more consistent and ethereal composition. They follow previous cuts Ramona,Wyttch, the title track, The Colour Of Love, Confessions Of A Dopamine Addict, Wrath, Anno Satana and Birch Grove.

In late October, frontman Billy Corgan discussed how the band intended to celebrate the 25th anniversary of 'Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness', revealing plans for a 33-track sequel and tour, as well as updating fans on their numerous other projects. Head here for more details.
