Massive Attack's 3D And Nova Twins Team Up For Gang Of Four's Where The Nightingale Sings Remix

Friday, 12 February 2021 Written by Jon Stickler

Massive Attack's Robert "3D" Del Naja and Nova Twins (pictured) have collaborated for a remix of Gang Of Four's Where The Nightingale Sings.

The track serves as the latest preview of 'The Problem Of Leisure: A Celebration Of Andy Gill And Gang Of Four', a double album commemorating the music of Gang Of Four and co-founder Andy Gill, who died suddenly in February 2020.

It's a dark and hypnotising revamp of the cut from the band's 2015 LP 'What Happens Next’, with the London-based punk-rock duo contributing haunting vocals over a pulsating bassline. Press play below.

The record is set to land on May 14 and features reinterpretations of tracks penned by Gill and Gang Of Four individually by various major artists, including IDLES, Gary Numan, Helmet, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea and John Frusciante, La Roux, and Everything Everything. Check out the full tracklist here.

In January, Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello and System Of A Down's Serj Tankian teamed up for the lead single Natural's Not In.

In related news, Nova Twins will support Enter Shikari on their rescheduled UK tour in May and June. The pair put out their debut album, 'Who Are The Girls?', in 2020.
