Black Honey Post New Track Disinfect

Monday, 22 February 2021 Written by Jon Stickler

Black Honey have dropped a new song, Disinfect.

Following Believer, the track serves as a stark reminder of the state of the world right now through politically charged lyrics and a crashing chorus.

It's the latest preview of the Brighton rock band's forthcoming LP, 'Written & Directed', due out on March 19 via Foxfive Records. Vocalist Izzy B. Phillips said:

"Disinfect to me is like watching the school bus burn down. We wrote it before the pandemic but it feels like a premonition of things to come."

Of the accompanying Craig Hemming-directed video, she added: "The video is a commentary piece, I love collage and this one is like looking directly at our reality in a mirror... it’s really honest."

The four-piece will head out on a short headline UK tour in September. They also play a socially distant London show in June.

Black Honey Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Thu June 24 2021 - KINGSTON Pryzm
Tue September 14 2021 - LEEDS Jumbo
