Moby has shared details of a new orchestral album.

'Reprise' is due out on May 28 and comprises reworked versions of his biggest hits with assistance from the Budapest Art Orchestra and guest vocalists.

Among the tracks rearranged with orchestral and acoustic instruments is Go, Extreme Ways, Natural Blues, Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?, and Porcelain, a piano and strings-infused revamp featuring Jim James of rock band My Morning Jacket, streaming below.

Other collaborators that feature on the record include Alice Skye, Amythyst Kiah, Apollo Jane, Darlingside, Gregory Porter, Kris Kristofferson, Luna Li, Mark Lanegan, Mindy Jones, Nataly Dawn, Skylar Grey and Vikingur Ólafsson. Moby said:

"Sorry if this seems self-evident, but for me the main purpose of music is to communicate emotion. To share some aspect of the human condition with whoever might be listening."

Talking about the inclusion of an orchestra, he added: "I long for the simplicity and vulnerability you can get with acoustic or classical music."

The release will be accompanied by a Rob Bralver-directed autobiographical documentary, MOBY DOC, available on digital platforms.
