Creeper's Will Gould Announces New Salem EP 'Salem II', Shares Draculads Single

Tuesday, 13 April 2021 Written by Jon Stickler

Salem, the side project from Creeper's Will Gould, have shared details of a new EP.

The duo — completed by Matt Reynolds of Howard’s Alias, Skylar and Drawings — will release 'Salem II' on May 7 via Roadrunner Records.

The announcement comes with the newly unveiled single Draculads, a boisterous track that brings more than a sniff of punk spirit to the party. It comes accompanied by an '80's style gothic video, viewable below. Gould said:

"Draculads is the sound of two lovers kissing in a bar fight. It is an over-the-top love song literally about falling in love with a vampire. The video is a period piece and tells the story of two punk rock kids dating in England, in 1985.

"It was filmed in one single day and shot at many historic musical landmarks in Manchester. For the two indoor scenes I built sets in my apartment, at one point transforming my own bedroom into the home of one of our characters. It is chaotic and romantic, destructive and dramatic just as the song it was shot for."

Salem dropped their self-titled debut EP in October 2020. Creeper, meanwhile, put out 'Sex, Death & The Infinite Void' in July of that year. They'll support the LP with a rescheduled UK tour in December with Holding Absence, Wargasm and Static Dress set to support.

'Salem II' tracklist:

1. William, It Was Really Something
2. Draculads
3. Keep The Thorns
4. Sweet Tooth
5. Heaven Help Me
