Converge have announced a collaboration album with Chelsea Wolfe.

'Bloodmoon: I' will arrive on November 19 via Epitaph and finds the Boston metalcore icons teaming with the goth-folk artist, Wolfe's bandmate Ben Chisholm, and Cave-In/Mutoid Man leader Stephen Brodsky. A vinyl release will follow on June 24, 2022, via Deathwish.

The idea for the record first came to light after the 2016 edition of Roadburn Festival in the Netherlands, where the collective performed reworked Converge music as a new project called Blood Moon. Converge leader Jacob Bannon said: "We wanted to do something grander than the typical four-piece Converge music."

The inspiration has now bloomed into a Kurt Ballou-produced LP, Converge's first full-length since 2017's 'The Dusk in Us', which is previewed by the towering new song Blood Moon. Wolfe commented: "The project stretched my vocals in new ways. It’s so different than what I normally sing over that I was able to open up and be vulnerable with my vocals."

Bannon added: "Our dynamics are pushing and pulling in all different directions on this record, and I find that to be creatively rewarding."

The ominous, atmospheric eight-minute epic swirls between layered, ethereal orchestration and aggressive metal passages, and comes paired with an equally epic video. Press play below alongside the artwork and tracklist.
