John Mellencamp And Bruce Springsteen Share Wasted Days Collaboration

Thursday, 30 September 2021 Written by Jon Stickler

John Mellencamp and Bruce Springsteen have collaborated on a new song.

The acoustic guitar-led Wasted Days was penned and produced by Mellencamp, and finds the two artists taking turns with lead vocals, as well as singing in harmony, over a jangly country-rock-leaning melody. The arrangement also features mandolin, accordion, drums, bass, acoustic and electric guitars.

The warm number serves as the first taste of Mellencamp's forthcoming LP, due sometime in 2022, following 2018's covers record 'Other's People's Stuff'.

Springsteen, meanwhile, put out his most recent album, 'Letter To You', in 2020.
